Exeter International Airport provides passengers with both scheduled and holiday charter flights to a variety of UK and European destinations.

In our store at Exeter, you’ll promote leading beauty brands such as Lancôme, Charlotte Tilbury, and Clinique, alongside an extensive selection of designer fragrances. Additionally, you’ll offer expert advice on luxury jewellery and sunglasses from renowned brands like Swarovski, Ray-Ban, and Oakley. Our store also features a diverse range of whiskies, champagnes, fine wines, and spirits, ensuring a premium shopping experience for travellers.

Life at Exeter

The World Duty Free team of 12 at Exeter airport is friendly and flexible – the majority of them have worked here for many years as they love Airport Life!

Because we are a small team we all have to be flexible – we have no set shifts but weekends and Sundays off are shared on a 5 week rota system. Our customer service assistants (CSAs) are generally recruited on 24 hour contracts (4 days in every 7 days) with hours being reduced to 6 hours per week during the winter months.

Important Information

When you arrive, you need to go to the Information Desk located close to International Arrivals.

Bus or Train

If you arrive by bus please follow the signs for the terminal building.

Driving

If you arrive by car please park in the short term terminal car park P1. Then follow the signs for the terminal building. The cost of your travel and parking is not reimbursed.

Your Interview

On arrival at the Information Desk, say you’re here for an interview with World Duty Free and you will be directed to the interview room.

Things to bring with you

Please remember to bring along your Right to Work Documents! Your Passport, NI Number & Proof of Address, plus Share code if necessary.

How long should you expect your interview to take?

Expect to be with us for between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the role you are applying for and the assessment activities. We’ll brief you before your interview and answer your questions so you know what to expect on the day.

Things to know about working at Exeter

As you’ll be working airside, you’ll need to be security cleared before you can start work. This can take 6-12 weeks from when you’re offered a role. We manage this process for you and will have checked your basic details prior to interview, so the chances are this will all go smoothly.

You’ll need to pass through airport Security each time you arrive for work (it’s just like going on holiday!) – this can take around 30 minutes. You need to incorporate getting through security into your travel time.
